Spring has Sprung?

For the second year in a row, Spring has stayed hidden well into April. Last year it snowed on April Fool's Day. This year, it was even later! I thought my kids were tired of the snow, but they had one last snow day in them. Emily insisted on getting dressed up in her snow gear so she could go out and build a snowman. This of course meant Addy thought she needed to do it also!
Before they started making the snowman, they had to get their friends and then test the snow...
First by making snow angels,
Then by tasting it!
Finally, they got around to making the snowman.
They were quite proud of the fact that it was almost as tall as they were!

After the snowman was finished, they decided it was time to go sledding.
Since we have no hills in our yard and they couldn't go to the school because it was still in session, they resorted to pulling each other around!
Until they remembered the slide.
Maybe April snow will bring May sunshine? In the meantime, we will keep our snow boots handy!!
