The Storm of the Century!

Even though the big storm missed at Thanksgiving, we still did get the storm of the century a month later. In fact, we got so much snow that they cancelled the last day of school before Christmas break. It was the first school cancellation for snow in our district in over 30 years!
These two pictures show the untouched snow stacked up. I think we ended up with over 2 feet over the course of two days.
It was so much snow that Emily gave up after a few minutes because it was too hard to move.
When Cole got out in the yard, he sunk up to his waist.
The piles of snow stacked up on both sides of the sidewalk were almost as tall as Addy.
But there was plenty of snow to have a snowball fight with,
And there was plenty of snow to eat!
This face has trouble written all over it!
The funny thing was, it actually rained for the next two days and the two feet was reduced to a few inches.
