And then of course comes the decorating! I don't know how my mom handled having eight kids decorate her tree. Our tree growing up always seemed so nice and my tree does not look that nice. (I'm starting to wonder how much rearranging of ornaments happened when we weren't looking!) But, my kids love decorating it and I guess that's what matters, right?! At least that's what I keep telling myself! (And Chad pretends to like decorating it just to appease me! What a good husband.)
If you notice there is an abundance of ornaments at the bottom of the tree where they can reach. Even with Chad lifting them up.
So we brought out the ladder to even it out a little bit, which of course caused a fight over who got to use the ladder.
So then what did we end up with? Ornaments on the top third and the bottom third, but very few ornaments in the middle of the tree. Oh well!

I think it's great! I think you might as well let the kids have fun! I do, however, rearrange some of the ornaments when they are sound asleep!! I also reserve a few "breakable" ornaments that mommy or daddy have to hang up! Merry Christmas!
