Welcome to the World...

Kaitlyn Elizabeth Gwilliam
She weighed in at 7 lbs 13 oz and was 20 in long,
With enough hair for 2 bows!!
She has been lovingly greeted by her Mom,
Her Dad,
Her protective older brother,
Her big, big sister,
And her little, big sister,
All of whom came bearing gifts!
She already knows how to get to her Dad...poopy diapers, especially the black tarry kind!
But she also knows how to get on his good side...Go Cougars!
We love you very much baby Kaitlyn and are glad you are in our family!
Hopefully you can handle us!

Birthday Fun...Take 3

A few weeks after Emily in the birthday lineup comes Chad. Apparently the older you get, the fewer pictures I take of your birthday! But that doesn't mean we love you any less!
Chad's birthday celebration was just like the others.
He still got very exciting presents!
The kids each picked out a present for him themselves as well, none of which were influenced by their particular preferences!
Addy picked out Chewy Chips Ahoy Cookies.
Emily picked out Oreos and Root Beer.
Cole bought him a box of baseballs, which apparently I did not take a picture of.
He had cake and homemade ice cream that we ate with friends and family. Chad wouldn't commit to a cake design, so the kids picked for him. I think it might have been influenced by the previous day that we had spent watching Spanish Fork High School play in the state baseball championship!
"No Daddy, we have to sing before you can blow out the candles!"
However, Chad got 2 other special birthday treats that only a lucky Dad gets. First of all, shortly after he woke up, the kids took him down to their "massage parlor" and gave him a nice massage, complete with an eye compress, lotion, and a nail treatment. (I was afraid if I took pictures of this they would quit.)
That night, after the cake and ice cream, Emily organized a fashion show, especially for his birthday.
The princesses were so happy to perform for Chad and all of the other guests!
Happy Birthday Daddy! We love you lots and lots and lots!!

Birthday Fun...Take 2

Two weeks after Cole's birthday, Emily's birthday fun started. While we were in Salt Lake for Mother's Day, we celebrated with Emily's cake, even though it was a few days before her actual birthday.
Then, on her actual birthday, she got to open her presents. She was definitely into opening them as fast as possible this year. She couldn't wait to see what else she got!
This included opening her presents from the Flying Grandparents on the webcam!
Her 5-year-old doll. Just what she always wanted!!
Once she got them all open, she couldn't quite decide what to play with first. So she put on her Twinkletoe shoes, opened her new book, and played with her Tangled doll all at the same time.
Then she got out her castle to start assembling,
And finally, she started in on her new set of workbooks.
Needless to say, she was in heaven with all of her favorite things!
Since once again we had a soccer game, volleyball games, pack night, and multiple conflicts, Emily's party had to wait until a few days after her birthday. After much debate back and forth, she finally settled on going to Chuck E. Cheese. So we invited a few of her closest friends, including her cousin Kira and we headed off to party hard! (She and Addy about came to blows as they were trying to decide whose party Kira got to go to. It was only when I intervened and explained that Kira could go to both of their parties that they calmed down. It was pretty amusing!)
The party group.
How can you go wrong with Chuck E. Cheese?
There is food,
Games,
And rides,
Including the ever popular clock ride.
By the time you throw in presents,
and cupcakes (that Emily and Addy helped me decorate all by themselves!),
It adds up to a very Happy Birthday!!
And did I mention that cousin Morgan also came along to help out. She was awesome to have.
Even if she didn't want her picture taken!
Happy 5th Birthday Emily! Don't grow up so fast!!
