Great Grandmas and Grandpas Galore

Cole, Emily, and Addy are lucky to have all of their grandparents and most of their great-grandparents still alive. What a blessing for them to get to know these people in this lifetime! Here are their Great-Grandparents.

It's Pumpkin Time

Cole's preschool went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch last week. He was nice enough to let Emily and I accompany his class. (He also wanted Addy to go, but thankfully it was too cold for her. I'm not sure I'm ready for 3 kids at the pumpkin patch!) We got to take a tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch and then pick a pumpkin. I was pretty sure that could be a problem because the weekend before, Cole brought home the book, "Spookley the Square Pumpkin", which is all about a magical square pumpkin. So of course, he decided he was going to find a square pumpkin to take home! Thankfully, after about 10 minutes of looking, he changed his mind and just picked his typical Charlie Brown-type pumpkin. After we rode the tractor back, we got to Emily's favorite part of the field trip, getting donuts and a coloring book.

The Hazards of Hair

Addison has managed to keep her beautiful head of hair so far. However, having a full head of hair at a young age does have it's problems. One day Addy was asleep in my bedroom when I heard her screaming. I ran in there to see which of her siblings was torturing her and discovered that she had managed to grab a handful of her hair and couldn't figure out how to let it go. So every time she screamed or moved, she pulled her own hair and screamed and moved again. It was one of those times that you can't help but laugh at your kids!

First Smiles

A baby's first smiles are always sweet. Addy seems much better at smiling and seemed to do it much earlier than I remember Cole and Emily doing. Maybe that's because she keeps smiling and laughing at this crazy family she was born into!

Name That Tune 2

This is another song Emily and her friend love to sing. They usually like to sing it while they blow out the candles on the sand cakes they make for each other in the sandbox.
