Does This Bring New Meaning to Flower Child?

Emily came home from a family reunion with a lot of flowers for her hair. Cole decided he was going to try them out for her and see how they all looked in his hair at the same time. I'm pretty sure he is not going to be nearly as excited about these pictures 10 or 15 years from now!

Name that Tune

Emily likes to sing, and Addy has no choice but to listen. Addy's grateful these were all the actions Emily made her do, although even the arm moving was stressing Cole out! Can you guess the song?

Thanks Grandma!

We just want to tell Grandma thanks for coming and helping us. And also thanks for all the meals you left us in the freezer. Life was much easier when you were here to help!

First Day of Preschool

Although it almost got lost in Addy's birth and the subsequent getting used to a third child, Cole did manage to start preschool earlier this month. He loved putting on his Spiderman backpack that Aunt Shari sent him (Emily also has to take her "suitcase" with her every time we get in the car to take Cole to preschool. I think she hopes one day I will let her stay.) On his first day of school, he bravely walked up to the door and didn't even turn around to tell me goodbye. That was a little rough for me, he didn't even act like it was hard to leave me or act like he was going to miss me! He loves going to preschool and making new friends. Someone forgot to tell me how much work preschool is though. Cole comes home with something he's supposed to do every night. I guess they are preparing all of us for school next year!

Diaper Duty

While Addy was still in the hospital, I laughed at 3 different nurses who told me that Addy managed to pee or poop all over her bed when they were trying to change her, thus causing them to have to change all of her bedding. (I wonder how much they added to our bill for the laundry services!) I couldn't figure out how nurses who changed lots of diapers every day could still have issues with that, but as I have discovered since we've been home, Addy has a knack for peeing while her diaper is being changed. I'm pretty sure yesterday was about the 5th time that she has gotten me enough that I had to completely change my clothes. And I thought I had it all figured out for my third child! Apparently I still need help changing diapers. That can't be a good sign for the future!

Addison's First Experience with Game Day!

Addison is not quite sure what she was born into. She's not even a week old, and her house has turned a little crazy! Her brother has blue hair, she and all her siblings have special clothes that they have to wear (even though you can't quite tell in this picture of her), and her Dad is a little on edge all morning. She's not quite sure what is going on. She'd better get used to it though. It's GAME DAY! How long before her hair is painted blue?!

Addison Lacy Gwilliam

Ok, I'm out of order here, but I guess I should put in Addy's birth! Addison Lacy Gwilliam was born on August 26th at 12:29 pm. She was 8 pounds and 20.5 inches long. My labor wasn't horrible, although I threw up from about 10 minutes after I got my epidural until about an hour after delivery! Next time I might have to go without the epidural again, just so I don't spend the whole labor throwing up. I forgot how miserable that was. It's a good thing I have relatively short labors. I'm kind of a wimp.
